Policies for all courses:
Our program goal is to educate our students with the most current information and trends available in the real estate field.  Hence, our motto: Education – Key to Independence

Prerequisite requirements: If student is under the age of 18, the state will not issue a license until their 18th birthday. Students must have knowledge and understanding of the English language basic mathematical skills. No other prerequisites required for our courses.

• Non-Sufficient funds Checks $35.00 Service Charge on all Returned Checks.

• Students are allowed to register the day the classes begin if there is available seating in the class.

• Policies relative to absences, leaves and tardiness: All students are required to make up any and all time missed by arrangement with our administrative office or the instructor.

• Student Conduct: Good conduct is expected of all students. The Instructor maintains the right to dismiss any student for any unfavorable conduct.

• Required course materials: Class manuals are provided with the tuition fee. We do not sell our course manuals separately.
• Upon successful completion, a certificate will be awarded. $5.00 Administration Charge for students requesting a Duplicate Certificate.

• Placement assistance: Holloway’s does not provide any assistance.

Policies for Pre-Licensure Real Estate:
• Grading: A score of 70% or higher is required to receive a certificate.

• Credit for previous education and training may be allowed in certain instances and to be determined by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

• Broker applicants may be allowed to apply certain college courses taken in the past. Lists of approved courses (including college courses) and schools are available from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

• Students should bring to class a simple 4 function calculator and writing utensils/highlighters to take notes.

• Computers, Cell Phones, Pagers and Handheld Devices: These devices must be placed in silent mode during the class and we ask that you do not answer your calls until you are completely out of the classroom.

• Requirements for graduation: Students must attend all classroom hours, pass the final exam and pay the tuition in full.

Refund policy: 100% refund will be given to a student who elects to withdraw within the first 3 hours of class, provided, the manual is returned unmarked and in reusable condition. Students who want a refund but do not return the manual unmarked with be charged $35.00. No Refunds will be issued for any reason after 6 months have lapsed.

Policies for Real Estate Continuing Education:

Refund policy: 100% refund will be given to a student who elects to withdraw prior to the day of class start. No Refunds will be issued for any reason after 6 months have lapsed.

All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if the applicant is rejected by the school before enrollment. An applicant fee of not more than $25.00 may be retained by the school if the applicant is denied. All tuition and fees paid by the applicant shall be refunded if requested within three business days after signing a contract with the school. All refunds shall be returned within 30 days.

• Required course materials: Class manuals are provided with the tuition fee.

Filing A Complaint with the Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs.
Your complaint must be in writing and signed. Describe the factual basis for the allegation. Please do not include any information, such as your social security number, that you do not want to be released to the respondent. Please mail your complaint to the following address:
